Mahiki is one of those clubs in London that really does transport you to an exotic Hawaiian holiday; it has a very relaxed, Tiki inspired decor and an overall pleasurable, clean atmosphere.
Drinks: The drinks are quite elaborate: they have an extensive menu of tasty cocktails that are garnished with generous portions of fresh fruit; they are priced around £13 - £15, which is a bit expensive, but they are quite strong and come in a hefty serving. For larger groups, they have glamorous sharing options, again following the theme of ship wrecks and ocean treasures, ranging from about £500 - £1000.
Entry: We were a group of 5 (two boys and three girls) and paid £15 each for entry. The staff at the door were very professional and welcoming - unlike what one may seldom expect from many other nightclubs in Mayfair.
Music: Mahiki is split into two levels: with a different music playlist and vibe at each floor. The ground floor was tamer than the underground: with relaxed tropical, downtempo and progressive house music. The lower ground is more of a traditional nightclub with dimmer lighting and faster beats: think top charts seamlessly blended with some strangely familiar early millennial beats.
Overall: We really enjoyed our night at Mahiki - we drank, danced and interacted with a smart, accomplished crowd.
